This class is offered on request at select area high schools within the “Adult Roles and Responsibilities” course. Students in the Intro to Sewing class will learn:

• hand sewing techniques including: whip stitch, ladder stitch, and button application

• how to thread a sewing machine with upper and lower (bobbin) threads

• straight stitch, reverse stitch, and top stitch machine sewing

• sewing machine speed control

• how to properly turn corners on a sewing machine
